Welcome to the team, Anya!
As Mesh Training Ltd turns another year older, we’re marking the occasion with a very special addition to the team. Anya Wright joins us on placement as our new Virtual Reality Implementation Specialist as part of her Product Design course at Nottingham Trent University. She brings with her a fresh perspective, hands-on curiosity, and a real passion for design education.
Anya first discovered Mesh Training through LinkedIn as part of a research activity for her course earlier this year and applied to our job opening in July. Through a rigorous application process and interview, Anya’s drive, ambition, and ability to step outside her comfort zone were clearly evident throughout and makes her a perfect addition to the team. We were impressed not only by her boldness but also by the clarity with which she expressed her interest in immersive technology. For us, it confirmed she had exactly the mindset we value at Mesh Training; curious, proactive, and ready to make a difference.
Alongside her academic journey, Anya has already built experience supporting others as a student mentor at university. This mentoring role gave her the chance to guide peers, simplify complex ideas, and develop a natural ability for teaching and communication. Those skills are a perfect fit for Mesh Training’s mission: helping young people learn new skills and adopt powerful tools with confidence. In her new role, Anya will be instrumental in engaging emerging designers with VR, from onboarding and delivery to onward support.
Following her training, she will also be a primary contact for all hardware and software related queries ensuring our customers are provided with clear, succinct information to ensure they are using the best hardware and software available. Through her academic and industry experience, Anya is skilled at combining creativity with practicality, ensuring every design decision serves the end user with purpose. As our implementation specialist, she’ll be working directly with clients and end users to ensure they are supplied with the right equipment and software for their use case and budget.
Outside of her studies and work placement, Anya is a naturally creative individual. She enjoys drawing, reading, and physical modelling, finding inspiration in different forms of craft. Her hobbies are a testament to her attention to detail and love of storytelling, both of which complement the way she approaches Virtual Reality. Her ability to express herself through these creative outlets enables her to approach challenges with originality and care.
Over the coming months, you’ll be seeing a lot more of Anya and her work on a series of exciting projects we have coming up on the horizon. If you cross paths with her in a session, event or online, please join us in giving her a warm welcome.
Welcome to the team, Anya. We’re excited to have you here.
